The Role:- Primary Teacher
For this role you will need to have a strong understanding of the Foundation Phase curriculum and have confidence to plan, mark and assess. You must have a strong passion to make a positive impact on children’s learning and be an effective communicator with staff, pupils and parents. Additionally, we want someone who can display strong behaviour management in the classroom and can differentiate tasks to cater for everyones learning needs.
The School:- Pontypool Primary School
This primary school base in Pontypool prides itself on ensuring that all pupils are learning in a supportive, caring school environment. This school values the links between home and school and the importance of working in partnerships with families. In the schools latest inspection they were graded ‘good’ in all inspection areas by ESTYN. ESTYN commented that although pupils enter the school with lower-than-expected levels of skills and understanding for their age, nearly all make good progress during their time at school. Additionally, they mentioned pupil’s behaviour is good in classes and around the school and they have very positive attitudes to learning.
