Primary School Teacher – Consett

Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full‑Time
Location: Consett & surrounding areas

We’re searching for a dynamic, inspiring and nurturing Primary School Teacher who thrives in a supportive environment and is passionate about giving every child the very best start. Whether you’re KS1, KS2 or happy across the board — if you bring enthusiasm and heart to the classroom, you’ll fit right in.


✏️ What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver engaging lessons that bring the curriculum to life
  • Create a warm, structured and inclusive classroom environment
  • Support pupils of all abilities to achieve, progress and shine
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, colleagues and families
  • Use assessments effectively to guide learning and celebrate success
  • Bring creativity, positivity and resilience to each school day
  • Be an active part of a friendly school community in Consett

What You’ll Need

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have experience teaching in a primary setting
  • Are confident delivering the national curriculum
  • Communicate clearly, warmly and professionally
  • Have great classroom management skills
  • Hold (or can obtain) an Enhanced DBS
  • Are ready to start ASAP

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
