KS1 Class Teacher

Location: Darlington
Start Date: February
Contract: Full-time
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Term-Time

The Role

We are seeking a passionate and creative KS1 Class Teacher to join the school’s team. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons that spark curiosity and help pupils achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum.
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes wellbeing and learning.
  • Assess and track pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Has experience teaching KS1 pupils.
  • Demonstrates strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Brings creativity, enthusiasm, and a commitment to raising standards.
  • Knowledge of SEND strategies and interventions is desirable.
  • Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
