Are you a newly qualified teacher, looking to gain more experience to kickstart your career in 2026?

We have an exciting new role primarily to teach Year 1 pupils to start as soon as possible until the end of the academic year. 

The school is in Darlington and has received an overall ‘Good’ rating from OFSTED. They are looking for staff who are willing to drive this result to Excellent in the next academic year and improve standards of the school, with the highest expectations.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Key Stage 1 (KS1) Teacher to join our dynamic team of teaching staff. As a KS1 Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the educational journey of our young learners aged 5 to 7 years old. Your passion for teaching and dedication to student development will be key in creating a positive and engaging learning experience.

Key Skills:

-          Expert knowledge of the national curriculum.

-          Strong ability to motivate and encourage primary school children to learn.

-          Experienced in teaching interactive and stimulating classes to ensure focus.

-          Committed to the safeguarding and welfare of all students, adhering to the schools’ policies and procedures.

-          A genuine passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of young learners within our vibrant school community.

-          Develop links with parents, business, and the wider community.

Requirements:

-          DBS uploaded to the update service.

-          Experience working with people with SEN / Disabilities

-          Able to drive (preferred)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
