SEN Primary Teacher

A specialist SEN and PRU Primary School in Bournemouth is looking for a dedicated Primary Teacher to join their highly supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to grow, learn and thrive.

 

The Role
In this role, you will plan and deliver engaging, creative and differentiated lessons across a broad curriculum for pupils aged 5 to 11. Learners may present with a range of needs including ADHD, ADD, ASD, Conduct Disorder, MLD, OCD, ODD, SEMH, Speech and Language Difficulties and other behavioural or learning needs. You will design inspiring learning experiences that encourage pupils to explore beyond the classroom, build cultural awareness and develop essential life skills. You will lead a class while fostering a calm, positive and purposeful learning environment while delivering a curriculum tailored to their individual needs.

 

Who We Are Looking For
• PGCE, QTS or Fully Qualified Teacher status
• Experience with SEMH or SEND learners within or outside the classroom
• Confident working collaboratively with teachers, support staff and external professionals
• Strong communication skills
• Understanding of positive behaviour support approaches
• Ability to de-escalate challenging situations safely and effectively

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
