We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (General Support) to join our friendly school in Bishop Auckland.

About the role:
As a General Support TA, you’ll work closely with class teachers to support the learning and wellbeing of all pupils. You’ll help create a positive, inclusive classroom environment and provide one-to-one or small-group support where needed.

Key responsibilities:

• Support teaching and learning activities across the curriculum

• Assist pupils in accessing lessons and developing independence

• Help prepare resources and set up classroom activities

• Promote positive behaviour and a safe, supportive learning environment

• Work collaboratively with staff and contribute to school life

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with children (school-based experience desirable)

• Is patient, adaptable, and enjoys helping others learn

• Has good communication and teamwork skills

• Is committed to the values and ethos of our school
