Location: Inner Birmingham
Start: ASAP | Daily & Short-Term Cover

Are you a qualified teacher looking for flexible agency work in KS1 or EYFS?
Or an ECT seeking valuable classroom experience across a variety of primary school settings?

We work with a large network of primary schools across inner Birmingham who regularly require daily and short-term cover teachers in EYFS and KS1 classes. This is an ideal opportunity for teachers who enjoy variety, flexibility, and building experience in different school environments.

As a supply teacher, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons, maintaining positive behaviour, and ensuring continuity of learning during staff absences. Roles may include same-day bookings and short-term placements.

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a UK-recognised teaching qualification (PGCE or BA with QTS)

  • Have recent or relevant experience teaching in EYFS and/or KS1

  • Demonstrate a good understanding of the EYFS framework and KS1 curriculum

  • Be confident managing classroom behaviour and routines

  • Be flexible, reliable, and adaptable to different school settings

  • Be committed to supporting young children’s learning and development

This role offers flexible working, competitive daily rates, and the opportunity to work in a wide range of welcoming inner-city schools. Both full-time and part-time availability are welcomed.

Benefits of Working via an Agency

  • Flexible working – choose the days that suit your lifestyle, whether you’re looking for daily supply or short-term placements

  • Variety of schools – gain experience across a wide range of EYFS and KS1 settings in inner Birmingham

  • Quick and easy bookings – access same-day, short-notice, and pre-booked cover opportunities

  • Consistent work opportunities – regular demand for supply teachers means steady work is available

  • Competitive daily pay rates – paid fairly for your experience and qualifications

  • Ideal for ECTs – build confidence, classroom experience, and familiarity with different school environments

  • Long-term opportunities – short-term roles can often lead to longer placements or permanent positions

  • Ongoing support – dedicated consultants who understand primary education and support you throughout your placements

  • Work–life balance – avoid planning and marking outside of school hours for most supply roles

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
