Primary Supply Teacher - North Somerset

Location: North Somerset (BS23)
Hours: Flexible / Day‑to‑Day & Short‑Term Cover
Salary: £130 – £160 per day (depending on experience)


About the Role

Teaching Personnel is seeking reliable, adaptable and enthusiastic Primary Supply Teachers to work across primary schools in North Somerset (BS23).

This role is ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and flexibility, as you will be covering classes across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, providing short‑term and day‑to‑day cover for planned and unplanned absences. You’ll be working in different school environments, helping maintain continuity of learning while delivering high‑quality teaching.


What You’ll Be Doing

As a Primary Supply Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver pre‑planned lessons across a variety of year groups
  • Maintain positive classroom behaviour and follow school policies
  • Adapt quickly to different school settings and routines
  • Support pupils’ learning, engagement and wellbeing
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and school staff
  • Provide reliable, consistent cover on a short‑term or day‑to‑day basis

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking candidates who have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in primary schools (EYFS, KS1 or KS2)
  • Strong classroom‑management skills
  • Confidence adapting to new classrooms and routines
  • A flexible, positive and professional approach
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
