KS1 Teacher (Year 1/2)

Teaching Personnel are working with supportive and welcoming schools in the Yeovil area, who are seeking a dedicated KS1 teacher for the new academic year. This part-time role will initially be temporary, allowing both you and the school to ensure a strong fit.

Salary: Paid to scale (M1–M6)
Start Date: September 2026


The Role

You will take on full class teacher responsibilities, including planning, preparation, and assessment. You’ll deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS1 National Curriculum, while creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners.

Key responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality KS1 lessons
  • Assess and track pupil progress
  • Support early literacy and numeracy development
  • Promote positive behaviour and pupil wellbeing
  • Work collaboratively with staff and parents

What We’re Looking For

  • QTS (or equivalent)
  • Experience within KS1
  • Strong classroom management and planning skills
  • A proactive, flexible, and enthusiastic approach

An enhanced DBS on the update service is required (or willingness to obtain one).
