Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting an experienced SEND HLTA to work at a Primary School in Coventry.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HLTA to join a friendly and enthusiastic team at a very exciting time.

About You:

The successful candidate will be highly passionate about SEND and is dedicated to ensuring that children are safe, happy and making excellent educational progress. We are seeking an experienced SEND HLTA to join an existing SEND team in a specialist provision at a friendly mainstream Primary school.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience working with children across the Primary age range
  • Knowledge and understanding of child development
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills
  • Approachable and resilient, brining a passion for supporting children
  • Experience working with challenging behaviour
  • HLTA qualification
  • Proven ability to take on HLTA responsibilities – references will be requested

About The Role:

The core focus of this role is to lead the specialist SEND provision, supporting children with a range of complex SEN and disabilities with an EHCP.

  • Delivering high quality lessons and activities in focused small groups and to the wider class
  • Effectively use resources to ensure high standards of learning and achievement for all pupils
  • Working with SLT such as SENDCo and Headteacher, investing time in to pupil progress and providing reports and feedback as appropriate
  • Form and maintain appropriate relationships with pupils and staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
