Teaching Personnel are proud to have been approved by the DFE as a National Tutoring Programme provider. This enables us to work closely with schools to support students in their catch up efforts at a priced subsidised by the government.

Owing to such, Teaching Personnel are seeking a tutor to work 2 afternoons a week within a faith Primary Schools on the outskirts of Burnley. The school is smaller than average, located in an affluent area, and boasts good facilities. Behaviour and engagement across school is good, as is parental support. It is owing to prolonged period of time away from the classroom that pupils require additional support. The successful candidate would work with year 6 children on a 1:3 basis to support them across the subjects of maths and reading.

Prior to working as a NTP Tutor, the successful candidate will be required to complete our accredited online training. The training includes multiple modules on numerous aspects of tutoring as well as training on the use of our online assessments/ monitoring platforms.

In order to be considered for this role, you must be either:

-          A Fully or Newly Qualified Teacher

-          An experienced Teaching Assistant (Would have ideally provided intervention support previously)

-          A university graduate with a relevant degree

-          An experienced tutor

Pay is highly competitive, GBP20 – GBP35 per hour dependent upon qualification held and experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
