Primary School Teacher

Location: Cardiff

Pay: £172.98 per day

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am-3.30pm

Start: September

About the Role

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting Primary Teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to work across a range of welcoming schools in Cardiff and surrounding areas.

Whether you are an experienced teacher or just starting your career, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience across Foundation Phase, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, while developing your skills in a supportive environment. For ECTs, placements can contribute towards your ECT/NQT induction.

You’ll deliver engaging, high-quality lessons, support pupils of varying abilities, and play a key role in fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across the primary curriculum
  • Adapt teaching to meet a wide range of learning needs and abilities
  • Create a positive, supportive classroom environment
  • Encourage pupil engagement, confidence, and progress
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and support teams
  • (ECTs) Build classroom experience towards your induction

 

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an Early Career Teacher (ECT)
  • Passion for high-quality teaching and learning
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Flexible, reliable, and committed
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Welsh-speaking skills are desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
