About the role

Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to take the next step in your teaching career?

We are currently seeking dedicated and qualified Primary and EYFS Early CareerTeachers to work across a wide range of welcoming and supportive primary schools throughout Wakefield.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ECT to gain valuable classroom experience, develop their teaching practice and build confidence in a variety of school environments. Whether you have recently completed your teacher training or are looking to gain further experience across different year groups, we can offer flexible opportunities to suit your career goals.

Working across different schools can provide you with valuable insight into a variety of teaching approaches, classroom environments and school settings, helping you to broaden your experience while continuing to develop as an effective and confident teacher.

You will have the opportunity to work within EYFS, KS1 and KS2, depending on your experience, preferences and the requirements of our schools.

Key Information

• Salary: £120 - £150 per day (depending on experience)
• Weekly pay
• Enhanced DBS
• Hours: 8:15 – 15:30 (may vary)
• Flexible working days
• EYFS and Primary

Role requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Previous experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting.
• Basic first aid certification is an advantage.
• Has experience working within the Primary Sector.
• Has knowledge of KS1/KS2 Curriculum.
• Committed to promoting progression of pupils learning.

As an ECT, you may be at the beginning of your teaching career, but we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, reflective and eager to continue developing their practice. You should be confident in managing a classroom, able to adapt your teaching to meet individual pupils' needs and committed to promoting positive learning outcomes.

You will be able to demonstrate a passion for teaching and have the confidence to deliver lessons that engage and inspire pupils. You should also be able to work effectively as part of a wider school team and respond positively to feedback and guidance.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
