Primary Education Final Year Students Needed

Pay: £100 a day

Location – CF14/15 Cardiff

Start Date- September 2023

Duration- Full-time / Part-time

The Role

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking to recruit hardworking and ambitious Final Year Students to work in local Primary Schools in the Cardiff area. If you are looking to expand your experience and improve your confidence when working with primary schools. This would be a great opportunity before the start of the academic year, with the potential for extending the position to the 2023/24 Academic Year.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Happy to work across a range of age groups
  • Ensure pupils are progressing as expected
  • Providing a positive learning environment for the children
  • General classroom support
  • Opportunity to work 1:1 and in small groups to assist learning


Some schools are comfortable for final year students to work as unqualified teachers. Therefore, the below will be required:

  • Confidence in leading the class when needed
  • Good knowledge of the schools curriculum to ensure the lesson fits the needs of the children
  • Strong classroom management skills and demonstrate confidence when confronted with challenging behaviour

The school will provide the candidate with continued support and feedback throughout your time with the school. Prior to the new academic year starting, trials will be held to determine suitability.


Requirements

• Enhanced DBS (child only) and Update Service

• EWC registration

• References x2 from PGCE placements.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
