Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking qualified Primary Teachers across the Stoke-on-Trent area. We are working closely with several primary schools who are seeking part-time Cover Teachers. This is a great opportunity for ECT’s who are looking to gain classroom experience before starting a permanent role or experienced teachers who are looking for part-time roles.

  • Start date: 5th January
  • Part-time, flexible role
  • Excellent locations with great transport links across Stoke and Crewe

About the role:

As a Primary Cover Teacher, you will cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher ensuring the pre-set work is delivered and completed to a high standard, whilst ensuring the schools behaviour policies are followed. Additionally, you will work closely with other members of staff providing feedback on student’s behaviour and academic progress.

What we’re looking for:

  • QTS or degree in Primary Education
  • Experience within a primary school is essential for this role
  • Good knowledge of behaviour management techniques and ability to maintain a positive and supportive learning environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both students and other members of staff

To be considered for this role, applicants must have an enhanced child DBS registered on the update service or be willing to apply for one upon registering with Teaching Personnel.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
