Job description

KS2 Classroom TA – PR8 (Southport) – SEN Experience Essential**

Teaching Personnel are recruiting a dedicated KS2 Teaching Assistant for a primary school in PR8. You’ll support pupils across Upper or Lower KS2 with literacy, numeracy, and wider curriculum tasks.

Although the role is general classroom-based, there will be elements of SEN support, including pupils with ASC traits, ADHD, speech & language needs, or mild SEMH. Familiarity with SEN strategies is essential.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting KS2 pupils in lessons
  • Assisting with interventions and small groups
  • Providing structured SEN support where required
  • Helping pupils regulate emotions and behaviour
  • Encouraging engagement and independence

Pay:

£13.75–£14.50 per hour

Requirements:

  • School-based TA experience
  • Good awareness of SEN needs
  • Confident supporting KS2 pupils
  • CV required

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
