Role: Primary School Teacher (PPA Cover)

Location: Cardiff

Pay: GBP 138.58- GBP 140 .00 (per day)

Employment Dates:  4th January – TBC

The Headteacher of a Cardiff Primary School is keen to secure a PPA teacher to work covering PPA across KS2. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher looking to gain more experience in a supportive school environment.

Experience working in KS2 is preferred, this role would suit an NQT however fully qualified teachers are welcome to apply.

The school is located close to public transport links and is easily commutable. The number of pupils who have access to pupil premium is in line with the national average. Behaviour is graded as GOOD however, the Headteacher is keen to secure a candidate who will contribute to continuing this. Candidates must have excellent behaviour management.

This role is to begin in the early 2021

  • Start date: 18th January – *we remain in line with government guidence* 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Planning for learning and progression in the subject agreed and for classes across the school
  • Differentiating for the various needs of the pupils, and teaching accordingly
  • Assessing, monitoring and recording progression
  • Creating a safe and engaging learning environment
  • Managing behaviour effectively
  • Providing feedback to parents or carers, where necessary
  • Undertaking continuous professional development
  • Contributing to the wider life of the school

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
