Teaching Personnel are the UK's largest independent specialist education agency with over 33 branches across the UK. We are developing a reputation as the strongest agency for specialist SEN support staff and regularly supply SEN schools with teaching assistants on a short and long term basis. We work with Autism, challenging behaviour and general special needs school.
In this instance we are particularly looking for teaching assistants who have an interest in working with pupils with Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties within the Dewsbury area, West Yorkshire.
Ideally you will be flexible and happy to do short term supply work whilst we look for an ideal long term role for you. You will be an engaging, empathetic and creative individual with a passion to assist children with complex health needs including Moving & Handling, Personal Care and feeding skills.
Experience in a school is desired but not essential as we also look for experience in areas such as health and social care as well as nursing qualifications.
Particular personal or professional experience of supporting individuals with PMLD is highly desirable as is knowledge of PEG feeding, moving and handling certifications and hoist training.
