Play Leaders – Outdoor Play & Learning (OPAL Programme)
Nottingham (NG7) | £14–£17 per hour | ⏰ Term-time only | ️ Start ASAP
Are you energetic, positive, and enjoy working with children?
We’re looking for enthusiastic Play Leaders to support an exciting Outdoor Play and Learning (OPAL) programme at an amazing primary school in the NG7 area of Nottingham.
This is a great opportunity for university students or anyone passionate about child development, play, or education. You’ll help make playtimes more creative, inclusive, and fun every day!
About the Role

Hours: 11:30am – 1:30pm, weekdays (term time only)

Lead and supervise outdoor play sessions as part of the school’s OPAL initiative, which encourages children to explore, create, and play through imaginative, active, and child-led experiences.

Support children in developing confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving skills through play.
-
Work alongside school staff to set up play zones, ensure safety, and make playtime a highlight of the school day.

Training provided – no prior OPAL experience required!

Energetic, reliable, and confident working with children

Positive attitude and enthusiasm for outdoor learning

DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply – we can assist)
-
Experience with children (paid or voluntary) is beneficial but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
