Job description

Teaching Personnel are seeking a well-qualified, enthusiastic and committed Physics Teacher (or Physics Newly Qualified Teacher) to join a successful Science department from January 2020. Teaching Personnel is supporting our partner school in Scarborough with their recruitment in the new academic year. If you are a Science Teacher (Physics Teacher) we would like to hear from you!

This position is full-time, however the school is willing to consider part-time applicants. You can expect a pay in line with your experience.

The school is located within an easy commutable distance from Bridlington, Hull, and York. The school is looking to appoint a Science Teacher with responsibilities as a Second in Science. Being a Physics Specialist would be an advantage.

The person appointed will:

  • demonstrate high standards of teaching and learning
  • teach Science to KS3
  • teach Science to GCSE
  • teach Physics to A-Level
  • support the Head of Department to lead teaching and learning within the Science Department
  • co-ordinate and develop strategies within Science to raise the attainment and ensure students achieve 3 and 4 levels progress targets
  • be a form tutor and support the academic and pastoral development of your tutor group.
