Physics teacher required in Scarborough

• Teacher of Physics - must hold QTS

I am currently working on behalf of a client school for a creative and inspirational teacher of Physics delivering across GCSE and A Level.

My client school is in the Scarborough area who are looking for a positive, enthusiastic and hardworking team player to join them in September and share their vision of a strong and successful department. The department aims to create a learning environment where students enjoy their studies, are confident users of numbers and can think logically and independently to solve everyday problems.

With a proven track record of promoting good progress and outcomes of pupils, the successful teacher will also be able to evidence having successfully implemented strategies that develop teaching and learning across the department.

The skills, experience and qualities we are looking for include:

- To be an excellent classroom practitioner with a passion for teaching maths and/or physics

- Use an appropriate range of teaching strategies and resources

- Build on the prior knowledge and attainment of those you teach in order that learners meet learning objectives and make sustained progress

- Have a good, up-to-date working knowledge and understanding of a range of teaching and learning strategies and know how to use and adapt them

- Know the assessment requirements and arrangements for the curriculum area, including those relating to public examinations and qualifications.
