An expanding Special Educational Needs school in Cambridge is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join their team in the primary phase, starting from January 2024. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the educational development and well-being of students with special needs.

Requirements:
**Experience: Proven experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in a special educational needs setting.
**Qualifications: A minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is essential. Additional training or qualifications in special education would be advantageous.
**Knowledge: An understanding of special educational needs and the ability to implement appropriate strategies to support diverse learning needs.
**Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
**Patience and Empathy: The ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and resilience when working with students who may have complex needs.
**Team Player: A collaborative approach to working within a multidisciplinary team, including teachers, therapists, and support staff.
**Flexibility: The flexibility to adapt to the dynamic nature of a SEN environment and a willingness to engage in continuous professional development.
**Safeguarding: A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, with a clear understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
