Phase Leader

We are looking for a passionate, knowledgeable and dynamic Phase 1 (Early Years) Lead who is interested in a new role commencing September 2020. They will oversee Reception year groups and our 114 place nursery (57 morning places, 57 afternoon places).

Located in the heart of Portsmouth, The School is part of an Academy and is proud of its caring ethos, encouraging and supporting children to achieve their full potential. The academy is a positive and active place to work and we are looking to appoint a Phase Leader who will bring their passion for teaching and learning to the school and community. We believe that success here is built on strong relationships between everyone involved in the academy.

The Phase Leader will be responsible for the standard of teaching and learning in Phase 1, providing motivation and inspiration to ensure exemplary teaching is promoted across all areas of the EYFS curriculum. You will ensure the needs of all pupils are met, enabling pupils to develop and progress in a safe, supportive and encouraging environment.

Being able to demonstrate evident of excellent teaching practices you will inspire confidence in your team, being a skilful communicator able to adapt to a variety of situations and audiences. You will have a professional approach with a strong working ethos and a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning.
