Teaching Personnel are currently seeking to recruit Final Year Students to work in local Primary schools in the Cardiff area!
About the role:
Location – Cardiff
Pay – £13.75 Per hour
Hours – Usually between 8:30-3:30
Start Date – ASAP (Pending Vetting Requirements)
Teaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit PGCE/Final Year Students to work across a range of Primary Schools in the Cardiff area. At Teaching Personnel, we specialise in recruiting candidates for staffing requirements in schools, whether that be for long-term positions or short-term cover. If you are a final year student looking to gain more experience and improve confidence when working with primary schools, this would be a great opportunity before the start of the academic year.
What we are looking for:
The ideal candidate for the role will be ambitious and hardworking, as well as being adaptable and happy to work across a range of classes and age groups. Developing professional relationships with the children and staff is required, to ensure pupils are progressing as expected and learning in a positive school environment. General classroom support will be expected, along with the opportunity to support small groups of children to assist with learning.
Some schools will also be happy for final year students to work as an unqualified teacher. Confidence in leading the class effectively will be needed, as well as good knowledge of the school’s curriculum to ensure the lesson fits the needs of the children. The school will provide the candidate with continuous support and feedback, with the possibility to extend positions into the new Academic Year.
Requirement Criteria:
- Enhanced DBS (child only) checks must be complete before the role will commence.
- EWC registration – mandatory requirement in Wales.
- References x2 from PGCE placements.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
