Personal Care Assistants required across Nottinghamshire

  • Do you have a background in health or care settings?
  • Are you willing to support pupils with personal care and hygiene?
  • Are you available for a minimum of 3 days a week during term time?

Teaching Personnel are seeking specialist support workers in the Nottingham area. We are working with a number of specialist SEN schools across Nottinghamshire who are seeking Personal Care Assistants and Support Workers on both a full time and part time basis.

The schools we are working with cater for children & young people with Communication and Interaction Difficulties aged 3 to 19 years.

A lot of the schools offer a broad, balanced curriculum which is developmentally and age appropriate, tailored to individual pupils’ needs. The school environments tend to be calm and predictable, with a specific focus on creating low arousal learning environments with an understanding of and respect for pupils’ sensory needs. Pupils are normally educated in small groups with high staffing ratios.

The schools use a variety of interventions to ensure that the complex needs of the pupils are met and the conditions for learning are appropriately set. These approaches foster trusting relationships which allow pupils to feel safe and develop confidence to meet the challenges of new activities.

All children in these schools have Behaviour Support Plans and staff are skilled in supporting pupils to emotionally regulate, fostering a positive sense of self and others.

If you have a background in health and social care and wish to utilise your skills in alternative settings, we would love to hear from you! You must be comfortable supporting pupils who need specialist support and assistance with Personal Care.

Please contact Luke on 0115 845 6409 or email luke.mcdonald@teachingpersonnel.com

Our goal is to support specialist schools in delivering higher levels of pupil attainment and support whilst offering teachers and classroom support staff continuous professional development, weekly pay, variety and regular work. (AGY)
