People Services Advisor – Milton Keynes

Location: Milton Keynes
Position: People Services Advisor
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: ASAP or September 2025

Do you have a strong background in employee relations, HR systems, and policy implementation?

Our client, a large and inclusive academy based in Milton Keynes, is seeking a dedicated People Services Advisor to join their central HR function. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the smooth and effective operation of the academy's people services, supporting both staff and leadership in delivering a high-quality educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and support on a range of HR matters, including employee relations, absence management, and performance

  • Maintain and update HR systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance with legislation

  • Support the recruitment process from end to end, including advertising, shortlisting, and onboarding

  • Ensure accurate and timely production of HR documentation such as contracts, letters, and reports

  • Support the implementation of HR policies and procedures, and assist with training delivery where required

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to promote a positive working culture and resolve people-related issues effectively

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has previous experience working in a busy HR or People Services role, preferably within the education sector

  • Holds a CIPD Level 3 qualification (or working towards) as a minimum

  • Has a strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices

  • Is confident using HR systems and MS Office (especially Excel and Word)

  • Demonstrates excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills

  • Is discreet, professional, and committed to high standards of confidentiality and service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
