PE Teacher Position- Oldham

Due to a member of the PE department going on maternity leave our client secondary school in Oldham is currently seeking a PE teacher to join their department on a full time basis. This position will be starting from Easter initially for half a term with the potential to continue.

Our client secondary school is a larger than average secondary with over 1200 students currently on roll, which is set to increase with the new cohort of Year 7. This is a mixed 11-16 secondary school which was newly built into a purpose built state of the art site a short time ago, with a focus on teaching and learning in its design to serve the diverse catchment area and allow students to fully access the curriculum. The school is continually improving with Ofsted rating it as 'good' in leadership and management, with the newly appointed Head teacher reinstating the importance of high teaching standards.

The incoming PE teacher will:

• Have a teaching qualification specialising in PE
• Have previous experience teaching PE from KS3-KS4
• Deliver interactive lessons both theory and practical lessons
• Use different behaviour management and teaching strategies to keep students engaged

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
