PE Teacher - part-time

Date posted : 26/06/18
£110 - £180 per day

Job description

This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...

Teaching Personnel is working closely with a RC (Roman Catholic) secondary school in south Bristol. This school is looking for a part-time PE teacher (male or female) to teach pupils on a part-time basis from September for at least a couple of terms. It is ideally a 0.6 contract but the school would consider someone who could only work two full days instead of three.

Commuting won't be an issue as this school is easy to get to via car or public transport as it is on a main road that leads into the centre of Bristol.

Standards are incredibly high here and the school follows the "Ready to Learn" behaviour policy. This is respected by both teachers and pupils and has had a huge impact on managing behaviour throughout the school.

"The behaviour of students is good in lessons and around the school. Relationships are respectful and productive and learning is greatly valued." OFSTED

You will need to have QTS and have taught PE for at least a year in the UK. The school is always looking for new talent and is very open to seeing NQTs. A good range of sports needs to be taught here for both boys and girls' PE. Football, Rugby and Hockey seem to dominate here so coaching or extra curriculum experience here would be advantageous.

In return you will get...

  • Part-time hours where you can choose which days of the week you'd prefer to work
  • Competitive pay from £110 to £180 per day
  • Support in your NQT year if this is something that needs to be completed
  • Ongoing CPD training
  • Easy to get to with great transport links (Number 2 bus)

If this sounds of interest to you please get in touch immediately. I look forward to you call.
