PE Teacher - Salford

Due to a restructuring of the staffing team at our client school in Salford, Teaching Personnel are seeking a highly engaging and inspiration PE Teacher from Easter 2019 or sooner. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an Oftsed rated 'Good' school.

  • Full time Teacher of PE post from Easter 2019 or sooner if applicable
  • Role until the end of the academic year in the first instance
  • Excellent public transport links
  • Pay in line with MPS and UPS (£23,720-£39,406)

Our client school based in the Salford Quays area of Salford have recently appointed a new Principal moved into their new building in September 2012, and in their most recent Ofsted inspection in 2016, they were rated 'Good'. The school is located a short walk away from a tram stop, and is easily accessible from a range of areas of Greater Manchester.

As a PE Teacher at our client school, you will be expected to deliver both practical and theory lessons to both KS3 and KS4. There is an opportunity to deliver extra-curricular activities including a range of different sports. At KS4 students can study the AQA GCSE Sport Studies qualification. This syllabus provides a balance of both theory and practical work. Within the practical course students have the opportunity to use sports where they have an exceptional strength in as a performer, leader and official.
