Cover Supervisor – Sports Graduate / PE Specialist

Location: Didsbury | Wythenshawe | Cheadle
Start Date: Immediate or as required
Contract Type: Flexible day-to-day or long-term roles available
Pay: Competitive (depending on experience and placement)

Our client secondary schools located in the South Manchester areas of Didsbury, Wythenshawe and Cheadle are seeking to appoint enthusiastic Sports Graduates / PE Specialists to work as Cover Supervisors. These roles are ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in education, particularly those considering a future in teaching.

The successful Cover Supervisor will be required to support students across a range of subjects, with a particular focus on PE and active engagement. You will be responsible for delivering pre-set lessons in the absence of the class teacher, managing behaviour, and ensuring students remain on task.

This role is available on a flexible supply basis with the opportunity to progress into longer-term placements or even a school-based contract depending on performance and school requirements.

Key Aspects of the Role:

  • Full-time or part-time Cover Supervisor positions available
  • Delivering lessons and supervising students across KS3 and KS4
  • Supporting PE departments and leading physical activities where required
  • Managing classroom behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment
  • Working in a range of secondary schools across Didsbury, Wythenshawe and Cheadle

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Degree in Sports Science, Physical Education or a related subject
  • Previous experience working with young people (e.g. coaching, mentoring, youth work)
  • Confident, adaptable and motivated to succeed in a school setting
  • Interested in pursuing a career in teaching or education
