Pastoral Support Worker
Join a large secondary academy in South Manchester seeking to appoint a Pastoral Support Worker on a full-time basis from Easter until the end of the academic year.
The successful candidate will provide high quality pastoral and behaviour support to students, working closely with the behaviour and pastoral team to ensure that all students are able to fulfil their academic potential.
As a Pastoral Support Worker, the successful candidate will:
- Identify and remove barriers to learning.
- Promote health and well-being to all students to ensure positive outcomes.
- Deal with students’ behavioural, emotional and welfare issues in a calm and professional manor.
- Monitor and improve negative and/or disruptive behaviour.
- Liaise with staff, external agencies and parents as required.
- Support vulnerable students by providing intervention as required.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping students overcome barriers to learning and ensuring that they achieve their full potential.
Previous experience working with secondary aged students is essential and experience supporting vulnerable and/or disadvantaged students is desirable.
This large vibrant secondary academy is located in South Manchester, easily accessible from the city centre and surrounding areas including Trafford and Stockport.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
