Location: Coleshill, Warwickshire (B46)
Contract Type: Supply (Short & Long-Term Assignments)
Pay Rate: £90 – £110 per day
Start Date: September 2025
Working Hours: Term Time Only, Monday–Friday

 

Are you a compassionate, reliable and resilient individual with experience working with young people? Teaching Personnel are working in close partnership with a mainstream secondary school within the Coleshill area of Warwickshire, to appoint a dedicated and passionate member of their pastoral support team. 

 

What is pastoral support?

This is the techniques and support implemented within the school to actively promote the positive holistic well-being of the students. You are there to encourage positive mental health and well-being and provide strategies to support pupils when struggling with different aspects of their wellbeing.

You would be helping tailor and design strategies for individual children to ensure they attained the best possible outcomes from school.

 

What are the key responsibilities?

Collaborate with teaching staff to implement effective behaviour management strategies and individualised support plans.

Building strong, trusting relationships with the students to support their emotional and social development.

Assist in monitoring student attendance and engagement, intervening when necessary to promote consistent participation.

Liaise with external agencies and professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students.

Maintain accurate records of student progress and incidents, adhering to safeguarding protocols.

 

If you have had any of the experiences below, we'd love to hear from you:

Experience working with young people, children or particularly children with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) or SEN

Previous experience within a similar pastoral position

Previous experience working within secondary schools as a TA/HLTA

Empathetic, positive, caring and understanding demeanour

Resilient and can remain calm in challenging environments

Strong communication skills and works well within a team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
