About the School

A private school in Edgware are currently looking for a Part time teacher to cover maternity leave 3 days a week from Easter. The class sizes are relatively small with around 14 to 18 pupils to ensure that there is a good teacher / pupil ratio. Additionally, each class runs for 45 minutes allowing for adequate learning breaks in-between each lesson. The school ensures that each pupil receives the support they need and have often bought in specialists in order to provide the necessary support. Currently know for excellent student engagement, with a wide range of extra curricular activities available to pupils the school also offers continuous career development for its staff with subsidised CPD courses. The SLT has a strong focus on maintaining the connection between the school and the home offering support to each and every pupil.

About the Role

You will be the class teacher for a well mannered class of 18 who are currently performing above the national curriculum. As the class teacher your task will be to provide work that is stimulating and thought provoking. Furthermore your responsibilities will include: teaching and planning lessons, assessing work completed by students and managing school conduct, to name but a few. Moreover you will be responsible for providing a safe environment where students look forward to coming to school and have and instilled desire to learn when they progress throughout the school

What we are looking for?

• Qualified Teaching Status
• Currently completing PGCE
• Passionate about Teaching
• Possess a Valid DBS certificate
• Interested in teaching KS1 or KS2
• Experience working with SEN pupils (desired but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
