Part Time Y1 Teacher - Rotherham - September start

A Primary school in Rotherham is looking for an experienced teacher to take on a part time role to assist in covering a teacher who has recently gone on maternity leave. This will be a job share with the current deputy head, with this job consisting of 2 days per week, the days which you work are negotiable as the Deputy is full time and is happy with taking any of the other days to carry out their normal duties. As this is a part time role it is ideal for those looking for extra work to compliment what they currently do or for someone looking to get back into teaching following a break from work.

Ideally the school want a candidate who has done similar roles in the past i.e Year 1 in a mixed 2 form entry, so that they have a better understanding of the pupils and the curriculum they are responsible for delivering. The school need someone who can hit the ground running, as it will be near to the start of a new academic year and at such an important milestone for the pupils as it's their first real experience of formal lessons and classroom based learning.

The school will ideally interview in the first 2 weeks of term and aim to place the teacher in week 3 of September. The placement is anticipated to last up to the Christmas holidays and more than likely into the spring term.
