Job description

Are you a confident and passionate History teacher with strong behaviour management skills? A specialist SEMH provision in East Lancashire is seeking a dedicated and resilient Part-Time History Teacher to join their team from September.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work with secondary-aged pupils who require additional support within a nurturing and structured environment. The role is for 2–3 days per week, with pay negotiable depending on experience.

  • Role: History Teacher (KS3/KS4)

  • Setting: SEMH Provision

  • Location: East Lancashire

  • Start Date: September

  • Contract: Part-time (2–3 days per week)

  • Pay: Negotiable based on experience

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)

  • Strong behaviour management and a calm, consistent approach

  • Experience working in SEMH or alternative provision is highly desirable

  • A genuine commitment to supporting young people with complex needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
