One to One TA required to work with Cerebral palsy (Primary)

We are seeking a specialist member of support staff to join a mainstream primary school from January 2018. We require a candidate with extensive SEN experience, ideally including some experience supporting Cerebral palsy, speech delay and physical disabilities. We are seeking a compassionate, experienced and confident TA who can work on a one to one basis with a pupil within KS2.
In addition to supporting with manual handling, assistance with speech and language difficulties and overall care of a physically disabled child, other duties and responsibilities include:
- To assist individuals and groups of children in developing knowledge, skills and attitudes as defined by the Curriculum. To take into account the learning support involved to aid the children to learn as effectively as possible.
- To establish supportive relationships with the pupil/s concerned and to encourage acceptance and inclusion of all pupils.
- To encourage social integration and individual development of pupils. To develop methods of promoting and reinforcing pupils self-esteem.
- To assist in preparing, using and maintaining relevant teaching resources, including wall displays and cleaning up classrooms after activities. To ensure that basic classroom resources are available to use.
- To assess, monitor and record children's progress, health, behaviour and general well-being.
We will also require the candidate to support using P scales to support speech and language delay, to liaise with the SENCO and outside agencies in regards to progress and to develop the pupils confidence and enjoyment in their education.
