Nurture/behaviour support required in mainstream Primary Schools in Derby

Do you have experience in nurture and behaviour support? Could you make a difference to pupils who have social, emotional, and behavioural needs?

A number of Schools in Derby City have an inclusion or nurture provision for pupils who struggle to manage their behaviours within the mainstream school. These schools are looking for Level 3 experienced Learning Support Assistants to work alongside their inclusion/nurture teams to provide additional support from September for their new co-horts of pupils, and to help dis-engaged pupils settle back into school after the 6 weeks summer holiday.

They are ideally looking for candidates who hold a CACHE Level 3 teaching assistant qualification or educated to graduate level, and ideally with recent experience supporting pupils with SEN and/or behavioural difficulties.

The role will involve:

- Working with pupils both 1:1 and in small groups

- Developing strategies pupils can use to support them in reintegrating back into mainstream education

- Supporting pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural Special Educational Needs

- Creating bespoke reward plans for children to follow.

- Using current behaviour policies to ensure children are following inclusion unit rules.
