Nurture Teaching Assistant

Due to a recent change in the staffing structure, our client are looking for a specialist education to join their team, and work alongside the lead teacher and work with identified students with complex needs.

The current SEN Teaching Assistant assigned to the Nurture group will be finishing at the end of February and the school are ideally looking to bring in a replacement prior to this to allow for an extended handover period, and to make the transition as smooth as possible.

Whilst working as a Nurture teaching assistant, you will;

  • Be involved in planning to ensure teaching and learning targets are met
  • Be prepared to liaise with SENCO, parents and external agencies
  • Ensure all learning areas are maintained to a high standard of hygiene and safety as negotiated with the SENCO
  • Be prepared to attend training sessions to develop and fulfil role
  • Prepare materials and activities to support the teaching and learning within the group.

Our client secondary school is a new build academy with excellent facilities and modern design, enabling students to benefit from state-of-the-art technology throughout. The school is situated on the Rochdale/Manchester border and boasts excellent public transport links, from the city centre and Rochdale town centre.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
