Nursery/Reception Teaching Assistant

Full time hours (8:30 – 15:30)

Experience supporting children in Nursery/ EYFS is essential

Nelson primary school

A large 2 form entry primary school in Nelson have approached Teaching Personnel to recruit for a position to start from September 2020, working across 4 Nursery and Reception classes. The position will be to support small groups of children throughout the school day as well as carrying out relevant observations on your key children within the classes. The Head Teacher has stated they would like an individual who is available to commit to the full time role on a long term basis.

There are a number of children who attend the school from socially deprived backgrounds and with this there are a number of challenges. Many of the children need additional support with speech and language development. The Nursery/EYFS department consists of a team of highly experienced and hard working individuals who are committed to giving their children the best opportunity to progress through school.

The Support Assistant role:

-          Full time – long term opportunity

-          Working in the Nursery and EYFS classes

-          Carrying out observations for key children

-          Providing personal care

-          Supporting children with EAL & SEN

-          Optional welfare duties

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
