Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Nurse to join our team, as a Nursery Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children aged [age range] in a safe and nurturing environment. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young children and contribute to their early development.
Responsibilities:
- Create a warm, welcoming, and stimulating environment for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities, following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, to promote children's physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development.
- Support children in their daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and toileting, fostering their independence and self-help skills.
- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records and providing feedback to parents/guardians and colleagues.
- Collaborate with the nursery team to plan and implement a diverse range of learning experiences, including outdoor play, creative activities, and group interactions.
- Foster positive relationships with parents/guardians, providing regular updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns or queries.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure effective communication, teamwork, and a cohesive learning environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized nursery environment, including regular cleaning and sanitization of toys, equipment, and facilities.
- Adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring the safety and welfare of all children in the nursery.
Requirements:
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
- Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting is highly desirable.
- Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework and its practical implementation.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to plan and prioritize tasks effectively.
- A caring and nurturing approach, with a genuine passion for working with young children.
- Ability to work well within a team and contribute positively to a collaborative working environment.
- A valid First Aid certification and an enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain them) are essential.
