We are looking for experienced Nursery Nurses with confidence leading small group sessions for an immediate role at an Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' Primary school in Ealing. Children at this school are all diagnosed with a special educational need with this specific role supporting children in class with severe learning difficulties and medical needs.

This school is based local to both Greenford and Sudbury Hill with successful nursery nurses working in the schools complex and profound medical needs (PMLD) department.

Pupils in this school need consistency due to their complex needs with staff required on a full-time basis during school term time. A valid child DBS and relevant references are vital.

The school provides a bespoke range of creative, sensory, interactive and outdoor learning and social opportunities for children aged 2-12 years old with autism (ASC), severe learning difficulties (SLD) and profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD).

Some children in the class will have mobility programmes and practise their walking in a walking frame. As it is a large class with 10 children, the teacher will be planning with the successful Nursery Nurse to split the children into smaller groups. The teacher will lead one group and the Nursery Nurse will lead the other.

What the school are looking for:

  • Experience as a Nursery Nurse (Scale 7 preferred but all applications welcome)
  • Confidence leading small groups sessions under the guidance/supervision of the class teacher
  • Experience or confidence supporting special needs particularly medical needs and severe learning difficulties
  • Someone who will be punctual and open to on-going learning and development
  • Caring and resilient nature
