Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and reliable Nursery Teaching Assistant to support early years learning within a friendly and supportive primary school in Windsor. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work with children aged 3-5, helping to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where every child can thrive.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting and will be enthusiastic about supporting their social, emotional, and educational development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Nursery Teacher in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.

• Assist with planning and setting up engaging and age-appropriate activities.

• Provide care and supervision for children, ensuring their safety and well-being.

• Support children’s learning through play and structured activities.

• Help with personal care routines such as toileting and feeding where necessary.

• Observe and record children’s progress and development.

• Promote positive behaviour and help manage the classroom environment.

• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and other professionals to support children’s needs.

Requirements:

• Experience working in a nursery or early years setting.

• Knowledge of the EYFS framework.

• Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or equivalent.

• Patience, kindness, and a genuine passion for working with young children.

• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

• DBS clearance (or willingness to apply through the agency).

Desirable:

• First Aid qualification for early years.

• Experience working with children with additional needs.

• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child development.
