A Head Teacher from a Primary school in Nelson has approached Teaching Personnel in order to source a year 4 Teacher to start for the new academic year, to cover a 12 month maternity. The school is easily accessible from the M65 and has good public transport links. The role would be full time from after the October half term to cover a full maternity leave. The current teacher is looking to start her leave around October half term, with the possibility of coming back part time.

The school is larger than average primary school and has a mixed catchment area, mainly children who come from Punjabi and Urdu background, with a small percentage of eastern European pupils attend the school. Experience of providing English as an additional language support would be desirable. The Head teacher is looking to cover a gap in staffing without much disruption and so the appointment must be a success. In order for this, the Head teacher has declared that she just wants to secure the right person for the role and therefore is open to both fully & newly qualified teachers applying, as long as recent experience working in lower key stage 2 has been adhered to. The school is a 'good' school by Ofsted & sets high standards throughout. The staff, pupils & parents are all very friendly putting the children's learning first on all occasions.
