Job Title: Music Teacher

Location: North West England, Greater Manchester, Oldham

Job Type: Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours

Salary: £30,000 - £46,525 Per annum

Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging music lessons to students
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress and provide feedback
  • Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents and colleagues
  • Organise and participate in extracurricular activities related to music
  • Stay up to date with curriculum changes and educational best practises

Required Qualifications:

  • PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education)
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • QTLS (Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills)

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Music or related field

Experience:

Previous experience teaching music to GCSE level students

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Subject specialist in Music
  • Versatility in teaching different music genres and styles

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional certifications in music education
  • Experience with music technology and software

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position with regular school hours
  • Work primarily in a classroom setting
  • Potential involvement in school events and performances

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
