Position: Music Teacher

Location: NN3, Northampton

Are you a passionate and dedicated music educator? Our secondary school is seeking an exceptional Music Teacher to join our vibrant and dynamic team!

As a Music Teacher at our clients school, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing students' musical abilities and encouraging their creative expression. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive music lessons to secondary school students, from beginners to advanced levels. The role is to begin as soon as September 2024 on a full time basis Teaching students across Key stages 3 to 5.

The school are ideally looking for a candidate who enjoys being part of a team, and sharing ideas/materials, enjoys learning, and has experience teaching KS3, GSCE, and A-level. You will be required to respect their values, and be committed to high standards of teaching and learning. It is also important that you can build and maintain positive working relationships with both staff and students.

Requirements

  • Qualified teacher Status
  • A degree in Music Education or a related field is required
  • Previous teaching experience at the secondary school level is preferred.
  • Experience in directing school bands, orchestras, or choirs is a plus
  • Ability to work closely with other teachers and staff to integrate music into the broader school curriculum and extracurricular activities.

The school in mind are a popular and over-subscribed school located centrally to Northampton in NN3. They have been rated a ‘ Good’ School by Ofsted. Due to their locality they have great transport links and a large car park for members of staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
