Job description

Are you a passionate and qualified Music Teacher looking for a new opportunity in 2025? A fantastic secondary school in North-East Manchester, rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, is seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring educator to join their creative team.

As a Music Teacher, you will be instrumental in fostering students’ musical talent and appreciation. You’ll plan and deliver engaging lessons, support students in developing their performance, composition, and listening skills, and contribute to a vibrant and inclusive learning environment. The ideal candidate will bring energy, creativity, and a genuine love for music that inspires students of all abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality, engaging music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Inspire students to explore performance, composition, and music technology.
• Prepare students for assessments, coursework, and practical exams.
• Contribute to the school’s extracurricular music provision, such as choirs, bands, and school concerts.

Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A degree in Music or a closely related subject.
• Enhanced Childcare DBS on the Update Service.
• References covering the past 24 months.
• Availability for interviews or trial lessons.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
