Teaching Personnel are the exclusive partner of a Secondary Academy in Luton to recruit a Qualified Music Teacher permanently from September 2025, with TLR role on offer as Subject-Leader of Music

- Contract: Full-time, Permanent
- Pay: M1 - M6, UPS 1 -3 (proof required)
Are you a skilled, ambitious Teacher of Music? This is an exciting opportunity for a Music Teacher to make a difference to an evolving school. We are open to applications from Qualified Music Teachers or experienced Further Education Teachers seeking their next permanent role.
Job Duties:
- Plan and deliver engaging and informative Music lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
- Ability to teach A level may be introduced to timetable over time
- Create and implement lesson plans in line with the AQA examination specification
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback on assessments
- Marking and assessment responsibilities included
- Support and guide students to achieve their academic goals in GCSE Music
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or FE equivalent qualification
- Degree in Music or related field
- Proven experience teaching Music to at least Key Stage 3 with prior experience teaching at a Secondary School (minimum of 1 year)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate students in this core subject

This is a large Secondary Academy well-established based slightly on the outskirts of the Luton area. They have a good reputation in the Luton area for providing a successful secondary school with sixth form to over 1500 students. The Academy is reputable in the area and a first-choice school for parents in the area. The school is positioned in North Luton, making it a great location for staff to join from Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire or Milton Keynes. The schools latest Ofsted report is Good (2024), noting that "Pupils are proud of their school".
