Job description

Music Teacher – September Start | Birmingham

We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Music Teacher to join a large  secondary school on the East side of  Birmingham from September 2025 up until December 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced educator to inspire the next generation of musicians.

Key Details:

  • Start Date: September 2025

  • Location: Birmingham

  • Contract: Full-time, permanent

  • Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

About the Role:
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of KS5. The role includes curriculum planning, classroom teaching, and involvement in extra-curricular music activities.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Proven experience teaching Music at secondary level

  • Head of Department experience or experience in a leadership role is highly desirable

  • Passionate about music education with strong classroom management skills

  • Committed to fostering a love of music and supporting student achievement

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
