Teaching Personnel are working with a Secondary SEN School based in Andover that are seeking a Music teacher to start in September 2024. The role will be teaching all elements of Music with time allowed for planning and marking. The school are looking for someone with excellent subject knowledge in all areas, good classroom management and a really positive approach to teaching and building relationships. The role is suitable for an experienced Music teacher seeking a long-term contract and an ECT for Music that is seeking a role in a supportive department. The School will consider unqualified Music teachers that come with relevant experience teaching in Schools. 

The school is a mixed MLD Secondary school which caters for 11-16 year olds.

The successful candidate will have shared responsibility for a tutor group and will be required to support students with their pastoral needs and delivering a ‘Key Skills’ curriculum which includes literacy and numeracy, the planning of which would be provided.

This is a part time role (four days a week). 

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a committed team player
  • Proven track record of raising attainment
  • Be confident and adaptable to different environments
  • Have strong classroom management skills
  • Be able to deliver lessons in a fun and engaging way that students can relate

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
