Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (Spanish/French)

Start date: April 2019 - Fixed term contract to cover a period of maternity leave, expected to be until April 2020.

Due to a period of maternity leave, our client school in Manchester now have an opportunity for an inspirational teacher of Modern Foreign Languages to join the school from April 2019 - April 2020. We are looking for a passionate teacher with the ability to motivate students to strive for excellence and outstanding examination success. The successful teacher will join a friendly and supportive MFL Faculty and will be required to teach both Spanish and French across the full age and ability range within both Key Stage 3 and 4 including GCSE level, with the ability, drive and commitment to maintain and improve the current success rate.

Our client school is located in Didsbury, (often voted as one of the most popular places to live in Manchester) only a short walk from the vibrant shops, bars and restaurants of Didsbury village. The school has access to excellent transport links to Manchester city centre and surrounding areas.
The school is a successful and diverse leading Catholic 11 - 16 High School with 900 pupils on roll. They have a strong record of achievement leading in recent years to a number of national awards. The school building has recently benefited from an investment of £11.2 million creating a new high specification science block, lecture theatre, sports hall, ICT suites, astro-turf pitch and reception area. The English, Maths, Art and Design technology departments were all remodelled, creating an environment that is both purposeful and inspiring.
